Coconut oil is known for its anti-bacterial properties and softens and nourishes the skin. If you don’t like the smell of coconut than the odorless coconut oil is optional.But take into consideration that odorless coconut oil has lost a lot of it’s good properties.
Refined Coconut Oil: This oil will be tasteless, odorless and not made from fresh coconuts.
Also, they are usually heated at high temperatures.
Unrefined Coconut Oil: This is where you will see the Virgin or Extra-Virgin labels.

Baking soda is used in the kitchen for baking. In a deodorant baking soda will absorb body odor and to increase the PH which prevents bacterial growth.
Essential oil can be added to give your deodorant a nice smell and to keep it natural. Essential oils extracted from leaves, flowers, roots, herbs etc. are 100% pure in contrast to other perfume additives. Essential oils or combinations of the following essential oils which can be used for your homemade deodorant.
Neroli Essential Oil
Vanilla Essential Oil
Bergamot Essential Oil
Lemon Essential Oil
Jasmine Essential oil
Rose Otto Essential Oil
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
Vetiver Essential Oil

4.Cornstarch, arrowroot or tapioca
Cornstarch, arrowroot or tapioca are primarily used as a thickener and binder and the excellent ability to absorb moisture. If you have a sensitive skin than use arrowroot.
Homemade deodorant recipe:
4 Tbsp. Coconut oil
3 Tbsp. Baking soda
3 Tbsp. Cornstarch, arrowroot or tapioca.
10 drops of your favorite essential oil.
1 Glass Jar.
If you use solid coconut oil it can be very hard, just warm up the coconut oil and mix al the ingredients together. Put everything in the Glass jar and use when needed.
