Other causes; Dehydration, Smoking, Alcohol and a shortage in vitamins.
Ways to prevent dark circles and puffy eyes.
Tired eyes and dark circles can also be related to a wrong diet, especially a lack of B vitamins and vitamin k. B vitamins stimulate the digestion of proteins. Start to put more vitamin B6 on your menu, which include salmon, tuna, trout, chicken, liver, eggs, legumes, nuts, whole grain bread, beans and bananas. Vitamin K is very suitable to prevent and reduce dark circles. Many eye creams contain vitamin K, which also is included in dairy products, leafy vegetables, meats and grains.
Use arnica, this herb is known as a remedy for bruises and muscle pain because it reduces inflammation and promotes blood circulation, and those properties also help against swollen and dark eyes. You can find the herbs mostly in organic shops, but it is also often incorporated into cosmetic products.
